Cuddle up under the gentle loft of you Down Comforter.
Great for any season, your Down comforter will keep you warm in winter and cool in the summer.
1. Gently shake your new Comforter to air it out and refluff the Down. You should refluff your comforter regularly. On a cool, breezy day you can air your comforter out side to help maintain loft by freshening up the down or put your comforter in the dry on a fluff cycle.
2. Use a Duvet Cover to keep your Comforter cleaner, longer. It is much easier to remove and wash a Duvet Cover, than the comforter. When using a duvet cover, a comforter needs washing only once every year.
3. Store your Down Comforter in a breathable bag made of cotton, never place your comforter in plastic which will trap moisture and promote mildew.
4. Machine-wash and dry on gentle setting, or professinally dry clean for best results.
If you machine-wash use warm water and a small amount of mild liquid soap. A front loading commercial size machine on gentle cycle (your standard washing machine is to small). Do not use bleach or fabric softener. After wash cycle is finished run your comforter through at least 2 rince cycles. This will assure all soap has been removed.
Tumble dry on low heat setting. DO NOT LINE DRY! Add a couple of tennis balls or clean canvas tennis shoes to help break up large clumps of down while drying your comforter. Remove comforter and fluff. Return comforter to dryer until completely dry. This may take several hours depending on the size and weigth of the comforter.
